There is nothing like working with a team who you feel comfortable working with and who you can trust. Building a team takes time, commitment, and a leader who truly understands the different members of the team. I’m a strong advocate of building teamwork and hosting team building activities year round. While there can be occasions where you can take the team on a retreat or plan a team building event on a larger scale (dependent on budget of course) team building shouldn’t be something that you occasionally plan for. Any activity in the workplace should be organized keeping in mind how it will benefit EVERY employee. Using the Holiday season can be of great advantage to spruce up team building for coming years. This can be a great time to get to know fellow employees, supervisors and subordinates; what their favorite Holiday treats are and any interests and family traditions are good topics to learn.
Happy Holiday Season!
